If you have rented one of the La Rambla apartments, we think you would like to know a few things about what’s around your homebase:
– Nearest Market: La Boqueria, which is a hundred meters away, and also, the most famous outdoor Market.
– Nearest Supermarket: Carrefour is the closest and biggest supermarket around the area, which is just a few steps away walking down La Rambla on the same sidewalk of the apartments.
– Nearest Pharmacy: it is right next door of the apartment’s building.
Besides those three things, if you happen to arrive late in the evening and you have no time to stop by at the Supermarket, on Bonsuccés street (at the right of the apartment’s building) you will find the Old Boutique “La Italiana”, on the number 12 of this street, which has been installed for a 108 years in Barcelona. In this Boutique you will find great tasting cheese, home made sausages and cold meat, fresh home made pasta of all types and magnificent wines. Get all that you need to have a great dinner from the apartment’s gallery while enjoying the spectacle of La Rambla de Barcelona.
If you want to go to a nice restaurant in walking distance, “Bar Cañete Restaurant” would be a great choise! “iRati Restaurant” is also a great tapas Vasc Tapas Restaurant option, but they also work as a common non-tapas restaurant (great quality!).
“Dos Palillos” is an Asian Restaurant which won a Michellin star a while ago, and it is on Elisabets street, number 9 (Elisabets street is the one that continues on after Bonsuccés street ends, on the right side of the Ramblas Apartments). This is a bit more expensive choise, but it is worth it!
If you rather go for a cheaper tapas restaurant, an other good place to go get something to eat is “La Llibertària“, which is on Tallers street (this time, the street you need to take is the one on the left of the apartments’ building).
If you want to listen to some live music, Jamboree will always be a good choise! The jazz music Club is located on Plaça Reial.
You can also listen to live music in JazzSí Club, where, for very little money, you’ll be able to hear great Jazz and Flamenco music (depending on the day of the week -wednesday and saturday, Jazz, and on Friday, Flamenco-) and taste some good tapas. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
